Nashville Transmission, Part IV
Welcome back to my Nashville Transmission! Now that the holiday week is over (well, holiday for my American readers, anyway), it’s time to get back to business! Today, I’m going to be working on the Factions in Nashville!
Starting Point
Going off of what I already have, I know of a few factions that I want to stat out. First off is some kind of criminal organization. I mean, I have two objects and one location that hints at a criminal underbelly, so that’s one faction. Also, with the bank robbery and corporate takeover events, that is great fodder for some factions!
If we look at Jeremy’s Guide to Writing Transmissions, I think I have everything I need for my factions!
Factions
Nashville Records
The one and only company to produce your music. If you want to be known outside of Nashville, these are the guys to see.
Adian Syndicate
A crime syndicate with branches all over the world, trying to butt in on the Bradford family’s turf.
The Bradford Family
The oldest family in town, and they have their fingers in everything.
Monoc Cybernetics
A cybernetics company trying to integrate with the Vanderbilt University Medical Center
Temple of the Body
A religious sect that views any type of cybernetics as a sin against humanity.
Metropolitan Government of Nashville
While nominally in charge of the city, there’s nothing that they can do without the say-so of the crime bosses.
Wow, that wasn’t as easy as I thought. I was hard pressed to come up with number 6. However, I can also see how some would like to have more than 6 factions to properly convey the theme of their setting.
